Week #4: Movies

My favorite movie from 2011-2012 was The Avengers. The Avengers is a live-action remake of the Marvel comic of the same name. It stars Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Chris Evans as Captain America, Mark Ruffalo as The Hulk, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, and Tom Hiddleston as Loki. The movie’s plot was well written and brought the characters together from their respective movies (events were chronological and connected, not merely unrelated one-offs) and the comedy in it was great for all age groups. My current favorite movie of all time is one called It’s Kind of a Funny Story, a film adaptation of a novel by the same name written by Ned Vizzini. The movie follows a clinically depressed teenager gets a new start after he checks himself into an adult psychiatric ward. It stars Keir Gilchrist, Zach Galifianakis, and Emma Roberts.
