Week 10: Media Ethics – Blog 9

Today’s media can be the creation of a star or that individual’s very own downfall. Media Ethics in today’s media world is lacking, very much so. Take the case of Johnny Manziel for example. Johnny Manziel was one of the hottest topics, if not the hottest topic coming out of the 2014 NFL Draft. He was a Heisman Winner and a College football quarterback worth remembering. He play was electric and exciting. Unfortunately, his attitude and personality fell under the category of a Frat boy who loved to party way too much. Now after the media chewed him up after following him relentlessly, mistake after mistake, he is a free agent QB not on a roster, and probably won’t be on one in 2016.
